We are a film production company based in Gothenburg, Sweden, specializing in cinematic and documentary works. Our activities encompass the development and production of short films, feature films, and documentaries, as well as the distribution and promotion of these works on both national and international platforms.

Our mission is to produce original and high-quality films that engage audiences on a deeper level and create memorable experiences. We view cinema as a powerful medium for storytelling, raising cultural and social questions, and fostering dialogue between cultures.

In collaboration with filmmakers, writers, and artists, we are committed to providing a professional framework for developing and presenting film projects with strong potential for recognition at international festivals and for access to global markets.

our team :

Sam Nobakht

Screenwriter and Director

Sam Nobakht is a filmmaker based in Gothenburg. He trained at the Karnameh Film School in Tehran, Iran, under the mentorship of acclaimed director Shahram Mokri. His films explore themes of human emotion, loss, and the power of silence. Working independently, he has written and directed several projects that are currently being prepared for international festival screenings. His artistic approach combines a strong visual language with an intimate focus on the complexities of human experience. As a director, he has created the following works: Short Films: The Painter (2022), Mourning (2023), Epilogue (2024); Feature Documentaries: Journey Beyond Dreams (2023), Venice at 4 A.M. (2024), The Silence After You (In Production, 2025)

Gabriel Soroush Elmi

Producer

Gabriel is a film and theatre producer based in Stockholm. In 2016, he founded Matris Event & Production to collaborate on independent projects with artists in the fields of music, theatre, performance, and film. In 2025, he launched Matris Film as a new branch of the company, alongside Sam and Mirja, dedicated to film production.He has worked as a line producer on the feature film Lögnadagen (2017) and as a producer of Black Eared (selected by the New Orleans Film Festival in 2018). In 2021, he both directed and produced The Inanimate Nature. Most recently, he has been studying Film and TV Drama Producing at YRGO in Gothenburg

Mirja Burlin

Actress, Director, and Producer

Mirja Burlin has built a versatile career across stage, screen, and radio. At the Gothenburg Opera, she has worked both as a director and as a musical performer. On screen, she has appeared in numerous television series and films, including Beartown for HBO and the feature film Lasse-Maja and the Secret of the Scorpion for SF Studios.As a director, she helmed Sweden’s beloved Christmas Calendar (Julkalendern) and contributed to several acclaimed productions for Swedish Radio. In 2024, she performed as an impressionist in Herr Talman for SVT, a production that went on to win the Swedish Humor Award.
